Privacy Policy
NotiWeave runs entirely on your device — no server, no NotiWeave account, no tracking, no internet permission at all. Here’s exactly what it reads, where it’s stored, and what’s never done with it.
Last updated 8 August 2026In short: NotiWeave reads notifications only for the apps you enable and keeps everything in a private database on your phone. It never sells or shares any of it, and it cannot send it anywhere — the released app does not request internet access.
What NotiWeave reads
NotiWeave uses Android’s Notification Access to read notifications, but only for the apps you explicitly enable in the Apps screen. Notifications from every other app are ignored. For enabled apps, it reads the notification’s originating app, title, text, timestamp, and conversation identifier so it can group messages by sender and match your sound rules. Notifications from banking and finance apps are dropped the moment they arrive and are never stored.
Two optional features keep a notification’s app, title, text and timestamp in that same private database so you can read it in the Notifications panel: Group in one tray (Settings), which collects your notifications into a single group in the phone’s tray; and blocking an app, which logs what it hid so you can check what you missed. Entries stay until you remove them, and go when you clear the panel or clear captured data. Banking apps and Android system notifications are never collected this way.
Where your data is stored
Everything NotiWeave captures is stored in a private database on your device, and it stays there. Your notification threads, messages, app selections, and sound rules never leave your phone. There is no NotiWeave cloud, no account, and no synchronisation to any other device.
Sounds and ringtones
The Sounds and Ringtones libraries list the tones built into NotiWeave alongside the ones already installed on your phone. Reading that list needs no permission and gives NotiWeave nothing but the tones’ names — it has no access to your music, media, or files.
If you import your own audio, Android’s own file picker hands NotiWeave that single file and nothing else. Sounds are played on your device and are never uploaded.
Security
NotiWeave keeps all captured data in its own private, sandboxed storage on your device, which Android isolates from other apps. Automatic system backups are turned off, so this data is never copied to the cloud or to another device behind your back. Because NotiWeave has no account with us and no server of ours, there is nothing on our side that could be intercepted or breached.
What is never done
NotiWeave does not transmit, upload, sell, or share your notification content or any personal data — not to the developer, not to anyone else. It cannot: the released app requests no internet permission, so it has no way to reach the network at all. It contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
Permissions
- Notification Access — required to read notifications from the apps you choose. This is the core function of the app.
- Ignore battery optimisations (optional) — lets NotiWeave ask you, with a single tap, to keep running in the background so Android doesn’t freeze it and stop it from receiving your notifications. You can decline, and change it later in Android’s battery settings.
- Notifications — lets NotiWeave post its own notification, which is what the optional Group in one tray setting uses to show your notifications as a single grouped entry. Asked for only when you turn that setting on.
- Vibrate — a light tick when a pull-to-refresh drag passes its trigger point.
That is the complete list. The released app requests no internet permission, and none for location, contacts, camera, microphone, storage, or media.
Your control
You choose which apps are monitored and can change that at any time, and grouping into one tray is off unless you turn it on. You can delete individual notifications, or all of them, from the Notifications panel, and everything captured at once from Settings → Clear captured data. Revoking Notification Access in your system settings stops all capture immediately, and uninstalling the app removes everything it stored.
Children’s privacy
NotiWeave is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone — all processing happens on the user’s own device with no data leaving it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
