1. Grant Notification Access. On first launch, NotiWeave asks for Android’s Notification Access. Tap through to system settings and enable NotiWeave. This is the only permission it needs to read notifications, here is exactly what it grants, and what it doesn’t.
2. Choose the apps to save. Next, NotiWeave lists your chat apps, with WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram and the like already ticked. Untick any you don’t want, add others under Show all apps, and tap Save. Apps you leave off are ignored.
3. Allow background running. So it keeps saving notifications while your phone is idle or after a restart, let NotiWeave keep running in the background and, on some phones (Xiaomi and Redmi, for example): switch on Autostart, the last setup step. NotiWeave walks you through this on first launch, and you can revisit it anytime under Settings → Permissions & background.
4. Change what each app does. Open the Apps screen anytime, tap an app, and choose what NotiWeave does with it: save its messages as threads, play your own notification sounds, or loop a ringtone for its calls. Apps you haven’t turned on are ignored.
5. Assign sounds & ringtones. In Apps, set a default sound (and call ringtone) per app, or open All apps for rules that apply everywhere; in any sender’s thread, tap the bell to give that person their own message sound or call ringtone. Pick from the built-in libraries (Settings → Notification sounds and Ringtone library, each with Mine, Catalog and Phone tabs) or import your own file. For finer control, write a rule: a tone for any notification whose title contains, equals or matches a pattern: one Slack channel, one Gmail sender.
6. Optional: tidy the notification tray. Turn on Settings → Group in one tray and NotiWeave collects your notifications into a single entry in your phone’s notification tray; read the full list under Threads → Notifications (the bell in the Threads header). Apps you never want to hear from go in the Block tab: Silent hides them with no sound, Sound hides them but still plays a tone. Blocked notifications are still listed in the Notifications panel, so nothing vanishes without a trace.

Notifications aren’t showing up in threads

• Confirm Notification Access is enabled: Settings → Apps → Special access → Notification access → NotiWeave.
• Confirm the app that sent it is switched on in NotiWeave’s Apps screen.
• Some phones put background apps to sleep aggressively to save battery, exclude NotiWeave from battery optimisation if threads lag behind.
• If a Your phone stopped NotiWeave banner appears at the top of Threads, your phone killed the app in the background and notifications may have been missed, tap it to open the background settings. Settings → Permissions & background shows whether NotiWeave is currently Listening.
• Re-open NotiWeave once after any app update so it can reconnect.

A custom sound or ringtone isn’t playing

• Check the sound is still assigned: per app in Apps, or per sender via the bell in their thread.
• For calls, confirm Call ringtone is turned on for that app in the Apps screen.
• Silence the source app’s own notification (and call) sound in its system settings, so you don’t hear two sounds at once.
• Make sure your phone isn’t in silent / Do Not Disturb mode.
• If you imported a file, confirm it still exists and hasn’t been moved.

My notifications disappear from the notification tray

• That’s Group in one tray doing its job: NotiWeave replaces them with one entry of its own. Read them under Threads → Notifications, or switch the setting off in Settings and your tray goes back to normal.
• If a single app’s notifications vanish silently, check it isn’t in the Block tab.
• Banking, finance and system notifications are never taken over or blocked, those always stay in the tray.

The Notifications panel is empty

• The panel fills only when Group in one tray is on, or when a blocked app tries to notify you. Turn it on in Settings.
• Grouping needs permission to post NotiWeave’s own notification. If Android asked and you declined, re-enable notifications for NotiWeave in system settings.
• Entries you swipe away or clear are gone for good, but clearing the panel never touches messages already saved in your threads.

I want to clear my data

• Wipe everything captured: Settings → Clear captured data.
• Stop it saving anything new: turn off Notification Access in system settings.
• Remove everything: uninstall the app: all stored data goes with it.

Connect to PC sends your phone’s notifications to NotiWeave for PC, a free extension for Chrome and Edge 120 or newer on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. It stays off until you turn it on. For how it compares with other ways of getting notifications on a computer, see the full guide.

1. Add the extension. Install NotiWeave for PC in Chrome or Edge on your computer once it’s available.
2. Join the same Wi-Fi. Your phone and computer need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. Guest networks that keep devices apart won’t work.
3. Turn it on in the app. Open Settings → Connect to PC and switch on Push to PC.
4. Pair once. Click the NotiWeave icon in your browser’s toolbar (or press Alt+Shift+N) to open the popup and show its QR code. In the app, tap Scan QR code from PC and point your phone at it.
5. Choose your apps. Pick which apps reach your computer under Apps to push, or switch on All apps. Turn on clipboard sync too if you want copied text to move between the two.

The extension says it can’t find my phone

• Check both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
• Check Push to PC is on in Settings → Connect to PC.
• Guest networks, and others that keep devices apart, won’t work.
• Click Connect in the extension’s popup to search again.
• After updating NotiWeave, open the app once so the link starts again.

It stops connecting after I close the app

• The link runs as part of NotiWeave, so anything that stops NotiWeave stops the link too.
• On Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones, turn on Autostart for NotiWeave, or swiping it away from recent apps keeps it closed. Open Settings → Permissions & background in the app to check.
• Once NotiWeave is running again, the extension reconnects within about 30 seconds.

The test notification doesn’t appear on my computer

• Your computer may be blocking the browser’s notifications. On macOS, check System Settings → Notifications → Google Chrome. On Windows, check Settings → System → Notifications.
• Use Send test notification in the extension’s dashboard to check again after changing the setting.

The extension says “Phone doesn’t know this computer anymore”

• The pairing was removed on one side. Pair again: open the popup and scan its QR code with Scan QR code from PC in the app.

Text I copy on my phone doesn’t reach my computer

• Check clipboard sync is on in both the app and the extension.
• For automatic sending, switch on NotiWeave: send copies to PC in Android’s Accessibility settings. Without it, use Share → Send to PC.

I can’t tell my computers apart

• In the app, tap the pencil next to a computer under Paired computers and give it a name. Or set a Computer name in the extension’s settings on that computer.
• The list also shows when each computer last connected.
